UPDATE - City of San Francisco Implements New Rapid Entry Lock Box Program
 
The San Francisco Fire Department has informed BOMA that the older style lock boxes are no longer secure and the Department will not access them when on seen at an incident.
 
The Department recommends that all keys in the lock boxes (and older lock boxes as well) be removed from buildings.

BOMA California Legislative Update - ADA Reform
 
We are extremely pleased to announce that a bill that was signed this week by Governor Brown is BOMA Calfornia's ADA reform measure, SB 1186.   This measure will curb lawsuit abuse regarding the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) while promoting increased compliance with disabled accessibility building codes.

BOMA International’s codes consultant, Ron Burton, recently attended the ANSI/ICC A117.1 accessibility standard development committee meetings in Washington, D.C. The meetings began the discussion about proposed modifications to the latest edition of the standard: A117.1-2009. Over 300 proposed changes were received and must be processed by the committee.
