San Francisco Existing Building Energy Ordinance Compliance

The Ordinance applies to non-residential buildings with gross floor area of 10,000 square feet or more and residential buildings 50,000 square feet or larger. All buildings are required to benchmark energy use; for commercial buildings the ordinance also requires an energy audit or a plan to reduce carbon emissions.

San Francisco Existing Building Energy Ordinance Compliance

San Francisco's Commercial Garage Electric Vehicle Charging Ordinance (Ordinance No. 244-19) requires publicly accessible commercial parking garages and lots with more than 100 parking spaces to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at 10% of parking spaces by January 1, 2023.
